Thank you for helping us remember that the 12 Days of Christmas START on December 25th....not END. We always have a "little Christmas" to celebrate the end of the season - it's wonderful because we can keep eating those cookies til then. After that they go into the freezer to be brought out small baggie by small baggie on sunday afternoons.
ReplyDeleteBlessings...
Gorgeous! I'm still undecking my halls over here.
ReplyDeleteI put all that work into lights and tree and decorations I am out to get the most out of it!! All 12 Days, until the Feast of the Epiphany.
ReplyDeleteI tell ya, if stores could get Americans to give gifts on the Epiphany as they do in some culture, we would be still celebrating
Hi Caite, I hope you had a lovely Christmas. I love the shot of Longwood Gardens? And the cake and truffles look delicious. Wonderful photos. I wish you all the best in 2012. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYou guys know how to serve up a yummy Christmas Eve!
ReplyDeleteSo many goodies, Many people don't realize that Christmas day is just the first day of Christmas and that there are 3 more to go from today. Happy 9th day of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas! And such delicious desserts, that cake is so pretty. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOh, just gorgeous -- all of them.
ReplyDeleteYes, Christmas is not over yet. Keep it alive until it's traditional end at the Epiphany and , by the way, the Epiphany is the setting for one of the greatest short stories in English, James Joyces' "The Dead" which is set at an upper middle class Epiphany dinner party in Dublin around 1900. It's one of Joyce's most accessible works and a powerful meditation on the relationship between the living and the dead and a life lived without deep emotion risk or commitment.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! You had a lovely and elegant and delicious Christmas from what I can tell!
ReplyDeleteGreat series of shots.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
