Our nearest maritime museum is in Portsmouth, where HMS Victory, Nelson's ship is situated. It is always a lovely day out, although probably not as tranquil as your own, as Portsmouth is still very much a large working dockyard, with all its inherent hustle and bustle.
Nice. I really like the last one, but I'm a sucker for lighthouses. Is this near Bath? There is a maritime museum there I've keep meaning to get to but time always slips away when I'm in Maine.
Very cool! I love lighthouses -- I can't stop myself from taking photos of them. And museums are really fun to walk through, too, especially when visiting from out of town! Gives you a real taste of the area's "flavor." :)
Wonderfully informative post ~ love it ~ Love the model you are building ~ received one I got married w/ sign on the back 'Just Married' ~ I still have it ~ it is great! ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^
Nice tour and great shots. On my one visit to a Maritime Museum (in Wisconsin, being in the Midwest, the Great Lakes will have to do!) we got to walk around on a docked submarine. Awesome!
Wonderful collections of photos from your Maine trip. It is a gorgeous state. I like the boats and the lighthouse. Thanks for sharing, have a great day!
