"There is no frigate like a book, To take us lands away." Emily Dickinson
Very nice! I swear I want to travel with you one day.
I love the difference the lack of color tells about a photo! I like the texture you added to the last, it looks like a playing card! ~Faythe @ GMT~
oh I love your photos!
Those top few work so well as black and white!
I like looking up through the tower to see the sky and be able to see through the window very cool.
Lovely travel tour ~ awesome photography ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^
Cool shots. B&W makes you really look at the picture. No hiding stuff with color.
Really stunning B&Ws...especially Sofia...
I love the black and white, and the cool effects and textures! Great shots!
i like the perspective of the second photo. is it Colosseum?
no, actually it I took it in Diocletian's Palace in Split. hopefully this fall I will actually get to see the Colosseum and without questions you will all see those photos..for years..lol
Love the black and white photos. They remind me of the master, Ansel Adams.
In my dreams that your be true...lol
I love Black and White too! Excellent photos! Happy WW!
Great effects here -- I often forget to try B&W even though I love the way it looks.
I will admit I love color and sometimes don't want to give it up..but I think it is often effective.
Beautiful pictures from a trip around the world!
Lovely images, but somber. I miss your usual vibrant colors!
Absolutely beautiful! Great shots!
Wonderful shots, love B&W. Thanks for sharing!
Lovely! Is the first shot from Venice? Definitely transported me to a different place.
I recognize Turkey in some of those photos, but it sounds like some of them are from other locations as well? (You mentioned, Split, in Croatia.)
let's see..we have Venice, Split, Istanbul, Mykonos and Athens, Greece...
Great angles! Have a great WW.My entry.
Great B&W photos!
Beautiful photos. My favorite is the second one.
Beautiful photos, love your compositions.
Where were these photos taken? They are really gorgeous.
so much for wordless...lolthey are from a Mediterranean cruise last year.. see my reply to catsynth above
B&W really makes things dramatic!!
nice shots. The head on the pillar looks a bit out of place. I wonder why they did it that way.
Wowsa! These are gorgeous. I love color, but these black and white photographs are very moving and have such a dramatic feel.
Amazing photos!
That one with the stone head is very interesting! Amazing photos! Happy Thursday!
The theme is pillars? Or, is it pillars and sky? Interesting places you visited!
hmmmm...actually no, but it does look that way, doesn't it?
I am in total awe of these photos. They are brilliant!
What beautiful, strong composition! Good stuff.
