  2. This is at one of the county parks where I live. We have a lot of rivers and creeks and marshland all around here. In all of south Jersey actually.

    The black swans were a surprise.
    That is why I always have a camera in the car.

  14. Beautiful just beautiful. I have never seen black swans either. Have spent time with family in Camp May, NJ and the Jersey shore.

  22. Canadian geese are pretty, but loud and filthy.

    Now the swans...ANYONE out there know about the swans? From what I read, black swans in NJ are rare to say the least. Actually the only reference I could find online was a couple of people that had seen some in a park in Cape Maye county, which was close to where I was. Are there escape zoo animals or something?

  26. there are miles of trails through the woods there..
    and yes, you can put in with a canoe or kayak right at that floating dock or further down on the South River.
