We have a lot of turtles in our neighborhood but they generally stay out of the street. I still want a Turtle X-ing sign though!
in the refuge, they cross the dirt dike all the time from water to marsh and back..of course, the speed limit is 15 mph, so they are easy to avoid.
These are some pretty great pictures!
Great nature shots. I would think a neck being all twisted like that bird's wouldn't feel good.http://joycelansky.blogspot.com/2013/07/wordless-wednesday-what-happens-when.html

Nice! That's my kind of place. Warm weather nature, and wildlife.

Do turtles not cross the road from September to April? Where do they go?
I have never seen a turtle crossing sign before! Here in Illinois we just have signs for deer. Children. And the elderly. Isn't that weird? Loving, but weird that we need to be reminded to watch for anything other than ourselves in our own hurry.
Very pretty, but it's not Venice or even Italy!
Great pictures. i like the turtle crossing sign.http://photo.daddyforever.com/
