To take us lands away." Emily Dickinson
I was there last June too, it was hot but so much fun :)
I must say, the weather was PERFECT when we were there..
Each an exquisite work of art, amazing what could be accomplished before TV and internet :)
I agree! Beautiful pics of an ancient and wonderful city :) My Mom's favourite travel destination in Europe was always Rome :)
hmmm...I do love Venice.
More Italy! Yay! I wasn't ready to settle back into Podunk anyway. Thanks for posting these lovely photos, Caite. You had such a fantastic view from your hotel. Love the night shot!
Lovely. I loved the Pantheon. I think it was my favorite church in Rome. Just. Loved!
when you think how old it is..wow.
Oh, I would love to be in Italy. And I have never been there! Your pictures are fantastic! Your Italy is so beautiful!
Awesome!! Happy WW.Ninawww.askmsrecipe.com
The Pantheon is quite impressive! And I like the detailed photo with the painting and the windows. Thanks for stopping by earlier for Touch the Gear review - one of the fun things about blogging is introducing people to new things. Hope you can stop back for our WW :)
Wow! Great shots! I was just there with my husband in November. Makes me want to go back so badly! suitcasesweethearts.com
Nice photos! Now that's what I call a perfect location for the hotel - it must have costed you a fortune! You are welcome to check out a report from my recent trip to Rome at my blog (if you haven't done so already).
no, actually, for a major city, it was pretty reasonable. must thank the bro for finding it!
Wow! It sure looks majestic!
I agree I think Majestic is an apt word love the photos ;-)
Caite you had a beautiful view from your hotel. I love the night shot! Great photos!
Wow! I just love the colors in the view from your hotel!
I just love old European cities. The closest I've come to this one is a foam sculpture of the Pantheon that my son and I had to do for his history class a couple of years ago.
I think the original might be a little better..maybe.
Great images! I especially like the night shot
Lovely photos -- I was especially drawn to the top one of the Pantheon. Thanks for visiting!
Beautiful photos! I was only able to spend an afternoon in Rome, and would really like to go back and have more time there.
Great photo from the window of your room in the Albergo del Senato, which hotel was the result of the efforts of your brother- the compulsive travel planner.
A hotel I would happily recommend.
Very awesome view, haven't seen before .My entry is here.
