Zebra butts! My friend was in Rwanda last summer and that's all he could get...in the time it took to take out a camera they always turned around on him!
I too love the capybara. I can't remember what zoo I first saw one in, but it was definitely love at first sight! I didn't get as close as you however!
I absolutely LOVE your pictures!! I'm going to have to show my kids!! They are going to love the zebras, barnyard play and the family portrait! Priceless!!
The white bird is an Ibis - we were amused to see them in a zoo in Canada, as they are everywhere here. THey fill the park near our house, and they also love to hang out at the dump. I think they are possibly the rat of the bird world!
What an intense blue on that peacock, and capybaras always remind me of the Rodents of Unusual Size from the Princess Bride ;).

I just love zoos! Capybaras are one of my favorite animals...reminds me of our little guinea pig at home!

We brought our little ones to the zoo last year...I think we will go again next year..it is about an 8 hour drive for us..

ReplyDeleteyes...there were orange birds with these scary, rather ugly white ones and I see now that there were ibis (plural is ibides or ibes) too.
