There once was a man from Nantucket Who kept all his cash in a bucket. But his daughter, named Nan, Ran away with a man And as for the bucket, Nantucket.
the orginal Nantucket limerick...not the filth some of you have in your minds....lol
Beautiful shots. I haven't been to Nantucket in about 25 years, these bring back happy memories :).

You don't have to twist my arm to do lighthouses, but I really did a double-take - the lighthouse at Brandt Point is a dead ringer for the one here in Maine at Marshall Pt - Port Clyde. I know they used the same plans for several of them, and this one's a twin. Thanks for the gorgeous pics.
I LOVE lighthouses - but I am especially drawn to the first photo in the series. I think the walkway brings the viewer into the picture; it is as though we are traveling up to see it for ourselves.
so beautiful. it is wonderful to see that some are still being kept in great shape. or all of these still in use? I hate to hear the stories of ones that fall to the sea from non-use, like all the old barns... to much history & beauty lost. ~hugs, Faythe @GMT
actually, that is just what happen to the Great Point Light..it fell into the water and this is a pretty recent rebuild. you may notice that panel on the side that looks at first like a window..it is a solar panel.
