That stream looks very inviting! It has been very humid & muggy here. I also like to peek at what Bandit has been up too!LOL! I find it funny they can carry such a big ball in their mouths! Have a nice week! Faythe @Grammymousetails
The stream serene and inviting, wildflowers painting the meadow with their beckoning beauty, the lure of historical architecture, all seem to say explore me.
This put a smile on my face. I know the area well, both of my parents grew up in the Hudson River Valley :), and I grew up in its southern end in Rockland.

All your pictures are beautiful but I stared a long time at the second one. I like all the various shades of green and then the yellow in the grass and the bright blue sky. Gorgeous.
I used to have a job where I drove over all of New England and people would always ask me, "what's your favorite state, Vermont or Maine?" and they'd be surprised when I'd tell them, "Upstate New York." It's so pretty, and because ot doesn't have the reputation of ME and VT, it also doesn't have the prices or the traffic.
to quote their web site..."Named for a fortress treasure-house in ancient Persia, Olana was the home of Frederic Edwin Church (1826-1900), one of America's most important artists, a student of Thomas Cole, and a major figure in the Hudson River School of landscape painting.
Built high on a hill near Hudson, New York between 1870 and 1891, then as now, Olana offers magnificent sweeping vistas of the Catskill Mountains, the Hudson River and the Taconic Hills. Today, Olana is a New York State Historic Site, a National Historic Landmark, and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Hudson Valley and upstate New York.
