To take us lands away." Emily Dickinson
Gorgeous!!! I think the Lincoln Memorial is my favorite, but they're all spectacular.
I would love to visit the old world for the architecture!! Come join me and link up your blog Wordless Wednesday Reflecting Our Weekend #12

These are wonderful black and white shots.
Very beautiful! I did B&W too this week.
I especially love the waterway photo with the seagull on the boat. Love it!
took that today, just a few minutes away, just off the Great Egg Harbor river..
These black and white photos are great! I should experiment with black and white.http://joycelansky.blogspot.com/2013/05/wordless-wednesday-meet-mowgli.html
black & white can make a photo take on a different persona. that lion gargoyle looks to have its spine showing!Faythe @ GrammyMouseTails
you are right!
Lovely even without colors!
Beautiful b/w shots.Black Forest Squares
You take one mean picture Caite. These are gorgeous.
Who you calling mean? :-)
I like B&W sometimes too. These are great, I especially love the beach scene w/o color.
there is something so special about great black and white photos. Rhonda @Laugh-Quotes.com
Wow - so beautiful! Natashalh
They are beautiful. My favorite is the clouds over the cabanas.
Beautiful pictures as always.
I am such a fan of color, but black and white photography can be just as striking! Awesome captures.♥ aquariannFeatured Photo: Pink Hibiscus Flower
i love b/w .... these are fab
I like how photos can take on a completely different flavor when you use black & white. Very nice!
I think I love black and white photos even more than color photos. My grandmother, who grew up in an age when they didn't have color photos, says, "Why would you want black and white photos?!" Which always makes us laugh! But . . . she has a point!
Hi Caite,I actually prefer some picture to be in black and white, or indeed sepia.Family snapshots are on the whole a little nicer done in colour, however scenes like your beach and riverside shots look good in B&W, as they leave so much to the viewers imagination, such as what the weather is really like and exactly what time of day it is.A lovely and interesting post.Yvonne
it almost pains me to give up the color, but it was a test..
I love how black and white can give a whole other dimmension to photos!
I think B&W really elevates photographs. Stunning!
please speak up, I LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!!
