I just read about Monticello in Bill Bryson's new book, At Home, so I was quite interested to see these photos. It is a very striking house. I bet you would really appreciate Bryson's writing about it!
I spent a moment looking at the sign wondering why I knew of Monticello, but remembered as soon as I saw the house. Let's just say, American History is not big on the syllabus in Oz, but I have seen "John Adams" :D
How funny, my parents were just there yesterday and sent similar photos this morning. Looks like a beautiful place to visit.
