Can't wait until Saturday for our fortnightly trip to the farmer's market! Nothing better than fresh meat, fruit and veg from the grower! Oh, and can't forget the eggs & cheese!
I love the sunflowers. They are one of my favorites. I just visited a farmer's market in Kansas City where they had bins of spices. It made everything smell wonderful.
Obviously from the two billion comments on here, we do love our farmers markets! Those colors just make you want to roll around in it all, smelling all of those wonderful smells.
Your pictures are so wonderful. It reminds me of 40 years ago when I lived in Lexington, MA and shopped at a wonderful place - can't even remember the name now - but it had absolutely beautiful produce and flowers.
I've been blessed to travel all over the world and, one of the first things I do, is look for the markets in the places I visit.
San Francisco does have some wonderful markets, even at the Ferry Building downtown.
At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon! ( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well ) http://www.amazon.com/Lifes-Journey-1-Carmen-Henesy/dp/1451547366/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1274652997&sr=1-1
