Those blues and greens are breathtaking! I forgot how lovely the Jersey Shore can be. Have not visited for 8 years -- must get back there sometime soon.
To me you have captured the essence of Summer...I always feel I've missed something when I'm not by the shore, and this Summer I haven't been. To Toronto? Yes, but not the ocean. So lovely.
Lovely scenic views. It's nice to see some green. Everything is so brown here with our lack of rain.
Ouch about the flies. They are nasty away from the shore too. They were biting mercilessly while I was taking photos of dragonflies at the marsh near my house.
Photos are beautiful but the crab really has seen better days. Well I guess that's the circle of life and next time you go out near water please take me with you! I stumbled upon your blog from the Wordless Wednesday Link party and I love the layout!
Everything looks so peaceful, except for the crab.
ReplyDeleteand the buzzing of the greenheads, the giant Jersey flies, which attacked me!
DeleteI'm so glad you have a blog because I love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteOk, I admit it, I live for the praise! ;-)
DeleteThe scenery would definitely make going out to market more enjoyable
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Gee, the travel bug is sure biting me right now.

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful... I could seriously do with some scenes like these, but I guess your photos will just have to do.

ReplyDeleteOr, of course, lake! :)
DeleteYour Jersey flies must have relatives on Long Island because they are annoying us here, too :) Always stunning shots. I love the steeple picture.
ReplyDeleteSo peaceful looking. Do you live at the shore or is it a summer beach house?
ReplyDeleteI guess it depends on how you define 'at the shore'. I am close..
DeleteThose are some lovely shots!!

Very lovely shots. I could envision myself standing there overlooking it all. What a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteThat looks different than my boring market.

Poor crab. I had days like that. At least I still have all my limbs.
ReplyDeleteLovely captures of the greens. Sorry to see the crab though.

ReplyDeleteHave a great WW
POSH
It was very very low tide.
DeleteI love that you do appreciate your surroundings. Mr. Crabs looks like he is no more.
ReplyDeleteI think Mr. Crab went off with Mr. Seagull..
DeleteThis looks a lot like the town I come from, and even though I love living in the city, your gorgeous, peaceful pictures make me miss home!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, these are stunning pictures! Makes me wish I was at the beach instead of stuck at home in front of a computer ;)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is low tide. The crab looks like it is "fish out of water". So cute the shorebirds are walking in a pattern of the wave.
ReplyDeleteLovely series. How lucky you are to live so close to the sea.
ReplyDeleteI love all the birds in a row. Great photos, Caite!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous summertime scenes :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Love the grasses blowing in the breeze... Send a breeze to the Midwest :)
