There are a lot of books out there that I don't want to miss out on. Everyone aught to go at there own comfortable pace.Jemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09632346755839480960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8684061712648858453.post-30794524296206801462009-08-12T04:52:55.067-04:002009-08-12T04:52:55.067-04:00funny...personally, I can't really get into au...funny...personally, I can't really get into audio books...maybe it drowns out the voices in my head...caitehttp://caitesdayatthebeach.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8684061712648858453.post-32770748573712552922009-08-11T22:53:56.311-04:002009-08-11T22:53:56.311-04:00I read fast, even your test says so. I recently listened to an audiobook of a book my an author who has written many books I have read. Her writing style is breezy and easy to read; I make it through a 400 page paperback in less than five hours. Listening to it, I could tell that the writing style is pretty much like most of her books, but I got a whole different experience of the book listening to it being read by someone who changed her voice slightly with the different characters than what I would get going through it like I normally do.RAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04102249990885174107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8684061712648858453.post-1258685716137119782009-08-11T18:42:52.577-04:002009-08-11T18:42:52.577-04:00I can't do the 1234 thing...well, I can do it ...I can't do the 1234 thing...well, I can do it but not read at the same time...lol

becca...I lean toward that feeling too...what is the rush?

except the fact that there are all those good books out there, remaining unread.caitehttp://caitesdayatthebeach.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8684061712648858453.post-55079664774606080992009-08-11T16:40:59.506-04:002009-08-11T16:40:59.506-04:00I know he says enjoyment will increase but the who...I know he says enjoyment will increase but the whole thing makes it seem like work to me. Hence my books reviews! I'm forgetful in most aspects of my life, though, so I'm not sure if it's connected.

I experimented with the 1234 thing and I had no trouble at all reading, so I guess I don't do the vocalization as it is.Meghanhttp://chikune.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8684061712648858453.post-46137787687329462412009-08-11T12:13:10.352-04:002009-08-11T12:13:10.352-04:00yes, I too am afraid that if I read faster, too fa...yes, I too am afraid that if I read faster, too fast, my understanding and enjoyment would decrease. In college I would spend days reading a chapter that, had it been a novel, would have taken hours.

Faster-- not always better! Also, I find that if I read too quickly I might miss some of an authors more clever devices- syntax tricks or good puns - because I"m too eager to get on to the next plot point.Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09398904417243102605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8684061712648858453.post-72822814808291029502009-08-11T11:48:59.696-04:002009-08-11T11:48:59.696-04:00interesting . . . I'll probably try the counting thing and see what happens :)kayerjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08479123027080062607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8684061712648858453.post-17128832062002420492009-08-11T11:30:30.568-04:002009-08-11T11:30:30.568-04:00Great question! I'd love to know if you can read quickly and still take everything in, or whether you just get a feel for what's going on.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07698068501004755678noreply@blogger.com
